Overview:
One of our clients in the Hamilton area is looking for a skilled machine operator. They are focused on the Piling Industry throughout North America as well as other areas of construction. They have ongoing supply agreements with several ERW pipe manufacturers in North America and with seamless pipe manufacturers in Europe. They have a network of suppliers throughout the world to source those special pipe requirements that you might come across in your customer’s requests.

Job Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading trucks using loader/forklift.
• Measuring and tallying of steel.
• Once trained, you will be required to cut pipes.
• Measuring, cutting, and assembling materials according to specifications.
• Inspecting assembled products to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Use hand tools and power tools to trim, cut and fit components into the final product.

Job Requirements:

• Mechanical skills and knowledge of basic machinery and including tools.
• Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time and perform repetitive tasks and bending often.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Previous experience in a steel industry is an asset with exposure to pipe cutting and fabrication work.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and comfortable working outside in all seasons.
• Valid driver's license and access to own car is a must as this is not a public Transporation accessible.
