This is a mostly remote role based in Oregon.  One of Oregon’s leading healthcare organizations is seeking an experienced HEDIS Quality Improvement Supervisor to lead our team!

 

What You Get to Do!

The HEDIS Quality Improvement Supervisor leads our internal HEDIS review team and drives key quality improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for managing a team of HEDIS reviewers, setting clear performance goals, and ensuring compliance with HEDIS metrics and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and project management skills, along with a deep understanding of healthcare quality measures such as HEDIS, CMS Star ratings, and OHA specifications.

As the supervisor, you will collaborate closely with clinical, administrative, and cross-functional teams to develop and implement performance enhancement initiatives, manage EMR access coordination, and oversee comprehensive data collection efforts. You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring seamless communication, progress monitoring, and reporting. With a focus on education and training, you will also empower clinic leadership and staff to improve their performance and adherence to quality standards.

What You Will Bring…

·         Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, Business Administration, Health Administration, or a licensed Healthcare professional with management experience.

·         5 Years’ experience managing employees in a clinic setting or equivalent preferred.

·         Strong Knowledge of HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, and OHA Specifications: Deep understanding of healthcare quality measures and metrics to drive performance improvement.

·         Thorough Understanding of HIPAA Compliance: Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and best practices for handling protected health information and ensuring compliant transactions.

·         Highly Organized: Ability to effectively prioritize and plan tasks, manage time efficiently, and set clear goals and objectives to meet deadlines.

·         Quality Improvement Expertise: Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and HEDIS measures to spearhead initiatives that enhance the quality of care and compliance.

·         Technical Proficiency: Highly Proficient in using Microsoft Excel, electronic medical records (EMR), and reporting tools to collect, analyze, and report HEDIS data.

·         Data Management and Reporting: Expertise in using data management software, EMR systems, and reporting tools, with a strong ability to visualize data and present insights effectively.

·         Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication abilities to convey complex information clearly to internal teams, clinical staff, and external partners.

·         Analytical Expertise: Proficiency in analyzing large, complex data sets to evaluate performance metrics, identify trends, and develop data-driven insights that inform decision-making.

·         Critical Thinking: Strong ability to assess and evaluate information, consider different perspectives, and find practical solutions to complex problems.

·         Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset and adeptness in identifying challenges in quality initiatives, developing effective solutions, and overcoming obstacles to meet project objectives.

·         Innovative Approach: Resourcefulness in addressing challenges and generating creative ideas for improving processes and outcomes.

·         Training and Educational Proficiency: Capable of developing and delivering educational resources and training to enhance staff understanding of HEDIS measures and quality improvement practices.

·         Leadership Skills: Strong ability to inspire, mentor, and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment that drives accountability and shared goals.

·         Effective Team Management: Ability to oversee and track team performance, providing support and guidance to enhance skills and improve outcomes.

·         Adaptability and Flexibility: Demonstrated capability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments, adjusting priorities as needed while maintaining focus on quality improvement goals.
