Job Description for POTTING PREPARATION OPERATOR

Express Employment Professionals LAX is looking for an engages potting preparation operator to work with a local company in the city of Gardena. In this position you will be engaged in preparing assembled transformer, inductor, chock before being process and impregnated.

Key Responsibilities

• Review manufacturing traveler instructions and special requirement.
• Preparing parts for processing, such as epoxy sealing case lid, mold releasing, installing potting plates, forming potting well and applying mold seal as specified in the traveler.
• Cleaning and/or approved solvent to remove mold release and excess potting material.
• Installing and dismantling potting plates with use power drill.
• Patching processed parts with epoxy-patch 11C and 4215 resin.
• Ensure that processed parts are in conformance to drawing specification.
• Maintain and clean potting area.

Minimum Requirements: 

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) six months of related experience or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Must have the mental and visual ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedures manuals.
• Must have the ability to handle chemicals and other solution that are needed for processing.
• Must have the mental ability to perform basic mathematic.
• Must have the physical ability to move parts weighing 25 pounds.
• Ability to communicate effectively, work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral.
• Must be able to adapt to changes in the work environment; must be able to deal with delays, or unexpected events.

Safety:

• Employees are required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as clothing, gloves, goggles, or other garments or equipment to protect the employee’s body from injury or infection.
• Determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; Reports potentially unsafe conditions of equipment. 
• Ensure compliance with Magnetika employee health and wellbeing programs
• Inspect machinery, manufacturing area and safety equipment to find and correct potential hazards.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Ensure that employees are aware of the location of MSDS binder (Material Safety Data Sheet) and is available as needed.
• Ensure equipment are in good condition and safe to use.
