Excavator Operator

Salary: $25.00- $30.00

Express is current seeking  2 Experienced Excavator Operators for our client in Saucon Valley. This position starts immediately and will run for approx. 30 days. May have the potential to become a temporary to permanent position.

 

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy machinery to excavate, move, and grade earth, rock, and other materials on construction sites. This role requires a high level of precision and safety awareness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Operate excavators and other heavy equipment safely and efficiently.

· Perform routine maintenance checks and report any issues to the supervisor.

· Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.

· Excavate trenches, ditches, and foundations according to specifications.

· Load and unload materials and equipment.

· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

· Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time.

· Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Minimum of 1 year of experience operating excavators.

· Strong understanding of construction site safety practices.

· Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

· Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical stamina.

· Good communication and teamwork skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience with GPS and other advanced excavation technologies.

· Additional certifications in heavy equipment operation.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Stand up to 10 hours per day; 8 hours at a time.

• Walk 6 hours per day, 10 minutes at a time.

• Consistently lift, carry, and push objects up to 50 lbs.

• Carry equipment across the job site at distances greater than 500 feet.

• Frequently stoop and bend

• Frequently reach above shoulder level.

• Must be able to perceive attributes of an object through touch.

• Must be able to hear as it relates to normal conversation and high and low frequencies.

• Must be able to see as it relates to general, near, far, color and peripheral

• Operate hand tools and equipment necessary to perform duties.

• Hold a constant position needed to operate equipment

• Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder
