Job Overview:

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented truss builder to join our team. This role involves constructing wooden roof and floor trusses for residential and commercial buildings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret truss design blueprints and shop drawings

• Measure, cut, and assemble wooden components to create trusses

• Operate various power tools and equipment safely (e.g., saws, nail guns, drills)

• Ensure trusses meet quality standards and design specifications

• Perform quality checks on finished trusses

• Maintain a clean and organized work area

• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment

 

Requirements:

• 1-2 years experience in truss building or carpentry preferred

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints

• Proficiency with carpentry tools and equipment

• Strong attention to detail and quality control

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

• Team player with good communication skills

• Reliable transportation to work site

 

Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification in truss building or related field

• Experience with automated truss building equipment

• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards
