Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

A local health center is looking for a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator to join their team.

What you’ll be doing as a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of biweekly payroll including updates for new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Reviews and responds to unemployment claims with appropriate documentation.
• Reviews monthly unemployment statements.
•  Coordinates workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follows up on claims.

What you’ll need to succeed as a Payroll and Benefits Coordinator

• At least 2 years’ experience in payroll and benefits
• Knowledge of employee benefits and applicable law
• Experience with payroll and HR systems
• HS Diploma or equivalent

• $20-25 hourly
•  Monday-Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
• Ann Arbor, 48103
