Express Employment of Long Beach is hiring Mold Set Up Technicians for a growing company in the Signal Hill area.  This is an Evaluation Hire (Temp to Hire) position.

POSITION – Mold Set Up Technician 
LOCATION:  Long Beach
RATE: $22.00 - $26.00/ hr.

HOURS:  Monday – Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM

Required:  Mold Technician – Plastic Injection 1+ years experience

JOB SUMMARY

As a Mold Setup Technician, you will be responsible for setup and take-down of molds and support equipment. This position focuses heavily on attention to detail and environmental/situational awareness. Safety is a priority, as very large and heavy equipment and machinery is used daily. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operate all equipment used in the production process safely
• Change molds and/or support equipment as needed
• Troubleshoot, maintain and make minor repairs to equipment
• Maintain inventory of tools
• Report problems to management
• Complete all paperwork
• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molds.
• Coordinate external repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Root cause analysis for mold repairs.
• Promote safe and 5S working environment.
• Promote continuous improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

• 2-3 years plastic injection mold maintenance and repair experience required.
• Machine maintenance 1+ years required
• High school diploma / GED required.
• Technical training certification / A.A a plus.
• Experience with mills, Bridgeport''s, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and saws
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Robotics, mechanics, PLC, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical circuits, and automated systems knowledge
