Job Title: Fumigator/Industrial Maintenance Mechanic

Location: Meridian, Ca

Position Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 DOE 

Schedule:

• Normal hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• During hotter days: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced fumigator in the area of agriculture. The qualified candidate must possess there QAL or QAC and must have experience in applicating chemicals/fogging agricultural seeds. The candidate must also have knowledge of working with industrial equipment such as changing or repairing belts, sprockets, etc. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate fumigations with Director of Plant Operations.
• Monitor fogging of agricultural seeds.
• Document findings and record corrective actions taken.
• Performing repairs to industrial machines when needed
• Perform fogging inside the plant using pyrethrum.
• Notify the P.C.O or supervisor when pest control supplies are needed.
• Work closely with all plant employees, pest control operators, supervisors, and the Director of Plant Operations.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in fumigating seeds in an agriculture setting.
• Knowledge of fumigation and chemicals.
• Have a QAL or QAC with category M required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to document findings accurately.
• Physical ability to perform repairs to industrial equipment.
• Flexibility to adjust working hours during hotter days 

Skills:

• Effective communication skills for coordinating with P.C.O, supervisors, and other plant employees.
• Ability to fumigate agricultural seeds.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols related to agriculture.

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to pest control chemicals and equipment.
• Work in various environments within the facility, including potentially confined spaces and high areas.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, especially during hotter days.
