The HR Business Partner is a key member of the HR team responsible for developing and administering short and long-term HR initiatives. On a daily basis, this includes managing employee relations, performance management, internal & external compliance, risk/safety, workers’ compensation claims, regulatory training and working with branch leaders to create a positive work environment.

 

What You Get to Do!

Strategic HR Consulting – Serve as a strategic partner to branch leaders, upholding HR business objectives that align with the overall company plans and strategic objectives.

HR Analytics – Analyze HR trends and metrics to make decisions and develop solutions, programs and policies in collaboration with business partners to continuously improve performance, retention and the overall employee experience.

Team Member Relations – Guide, manage, and resolve complex employee relations issues. Work closely with management and team members to recommend course of action for employee relation issues. Interact with all levels of employees and be perceived as an approachable and knowledgeable resource.

Performance Management – Provide day-to-day performance management guidance (coaching, counseling, and corrective action) to company people leaders. Manage performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within the organization.

Compliance – Maintain in-depth knowledge of employment law requirements to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. Provide guidance and interpretation of HR policy. Identify training needs and individual manager coaching needs.

Workers Compensation - Collaborate with management on workers’ compensation issues to ensure compliance. Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all workers’ compensation claims by all employees and management to the appropriate vendor or state agency. Ensures return-to-work capabilities are considered and occur within Company policies and practices. Investigate additional information that is needed for new claims appearing on the weekly claim report.

 

What You Will Bring…

·       Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resources or related field (or equivalent related work experience).

·       Three (3) of management experience in Human Resources with prior experience in employee relations.

·       Possess general knowledge about workers’ compensation laws and specific state laws is essential.

·       Ability to identify and resolve employee relations issues.

·       Ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.

·       Ability to take initiative and work independently.

·       Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·       Attention to detail, project management, and organizational and planning skills.

·       Able to work well with others in a collaborative and respectful manner.

·       Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and confidentiality.

·       Experience handling highly confidential and sensitive information.

·       Experience conducting first-line and management training.

·       Ability to multitask and handle heavy workloads and meet deadlines timely.

·       Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

·       Experience with applicant tracking systems and HRIS applications.
