Salary: $20.00-$22.00 per hour

This position is with a Luxury Event Rental company based in Rockville, MD. They seek a highly organized and detail-oriented Showroom Consultant and Event Coordinator to support their growing company. The ideal candidate would be someone who has a passion the event planning industry.

You will be the first point of contact. You will review customer Wishlists of the products they would like to rent for their events, submitted via the company website. Once received, you will check for item availability, confirm delivery logistics, draft a quote and email it to them for review. Assist the customer with any questions and/or adjustments to their quote as needed. Schedule and conduct in-person consultations when customers would like to view Wishlist items in person.

Once the customer is happy and approves their final order, you will gather any and all information required to ensure a swift and smooth drop-off on the day of the event.

Prep and review weekly pull sheets for upcoming events. Attend weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and ensure items on pull sheet have been prepped and are ready.

You will provide ongoing customer service both internally/externally and answer any questions regarding event info and logistics.

This is a permanent position with an initial evaluation period.

Job Description:

Pay: $20-$22 per hour

Schedule:

  • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Saturday: 10:00am-2:00pm.
  • OFF on Sunday and Wednesday.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to all questions/inquiries received via phone, email and website.
  • Review Wishlists submitted by prospective clients via website submissions.
  • Ensure item availability, confirm delivery logistics, draft a quote
  • Assist customer via phone and email regarding questions and/or adjustments to quotes as needed
  • Schedule showroom consultations to tour items in the showroom.
  • Facilitate showroom visits, to include pulling and prepping requested items to be viewed
  • Gather all necessary information regarding event logistics from the client
  • Review and prep weekly pull sheets for upcoming events
  • Attend weekly meetings regarding upcoming events
  • Ensure items on weekly pull sheet have been prepped and are ready.
  • Provide drivers with logistical information regarding item drop offs and provide site Point of Contact info.
  • Assist drivers with any logistical questions or concerns.
  • Follow up on invoices as needed.
  • Manage inventory with a tracking system
  • No travel required.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a background check
  • 2-3 years of administrative/executive experience
  • Microsoft Office experience, Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Willingness to learn company products
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Problem-solving and decision making
