Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Manager to lead the Quality Control (QC) Department for our client, operating within an ISO 9001-certified Quality Management System. The QC Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products, facilities, methods, processes, and procedures conform to both company and customer requirements. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a dynamic, growth-oriented team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate the Quality Control laboratory in compliance with ISO 9001 standards.
• Organize daily department workflow and collaborate with the Production Supervisor and other departments to manage priorities.
• Collect, analyze, and report on product and process quality data to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications.
• Supervise a team of Laboratory Technicians across facilities.
• Provide training and skills development to QC staff while ensuring proper calibration and maintenance of all lab equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments as needed; schedule outside vendor services for calibration or repairs.
• Manage the inventory of laboratory consumables and coordinate with external calibration vendors when necessary.
• Ensure that the QC lab operates in compliance with all federal, local, and company safety regulations.
• Maintain documentation and certification to MIL-STD-883 adhesive standards.
• Collaborate with suppliers to promote continuous improvement.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a QC Supervisor or Manager, preferably in chemical or adhesive manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of ISO 9001 quality management systems and experience in reporting quality metrics and statistical process control (SPC).
• Proficient in the use of measuring and testing equipment, as well as safety protocols for laboratory operations.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with ERP, Project Management, SPC, and Analytics software is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively on multi-disciplinary teams.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.
