Schedule: 7am to 4pm, Monday - Friday, some overtime may be required

Winding Operator - Electric Motors (AC/DC)

Are you passionate about working with electric motors and generators? Join our dynamic team as a Winding Operator and be a key player in ensuring the performance and reliability of our AC and DC electric motors. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to contribute to innovative projects in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Hands-On Expertise: Test, inspect, evaluate, dismantle, clean, repair, and reassemble a variety of AC and DC electric motors and generators.
• Detailed Inspection: Disassemble and remove armature, stator, or rotor from frames and stators, thoroughly examining all components for signs of wear, cracks, or other issues.
• Data Management: Accurately record data on three-phase motors, ensuring thorough stripping and cleaning procedures.
• Coil Installation: Install new coils and perform precise connections to guarantee optimal motor performance.
• Comprehensive Testing: Conduct tests on coils, armatures, stators, rotors, and field coils for continuity, shorts, grounds, and insulation resistance.
• Assembly Preparation: Prepare parts meticulously for assembly and assemble rotating machines to meet specified performance standards.

What We’re Looking For:

To be considered for this exciting role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• Mechanical Proficiency: A strong mechanical aptitude with a keen eye for detail.
• Safety-Oriented: A solid commitment to housekeeping and safety protocols.
• Overhead Crane Experience: Proven experience operating overhead cranes safely.
• Physical Capability: Ability to lift and maneuver up to 75 lbs. safely.

Additional Requirements:

• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and ongoing random drug tests.
• Must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
• A valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime, weekends, holidays, and nights.
• Candidates should possess their own basic mechanical tools.
