ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform hand soldering of electronic components, including through-hole, surface mount, and wire harness terminations consistent with IPC or equivalent standards.
• Inspect and test soldered components to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and rework any soldering defects.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met.
• Perform repetitive assembly, terminating, molding, testing, and packaging operations to produce connectors and cable assemblies that meet the specifications of schematics, blueprints, or process instructions.
• Test and inspect the products to ensure specifications are met.
• Attend and participate in all required trainings and departmental meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in hand soldering
• Prior certification to IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, PIC 7711/7721 a plus
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Familiarity with soldering equipment and tools
• Attention to detail and ability to work with small components
• Strong Communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to use basic judgment in quality analysis and communicate any discrepancies to appropriate leadership
• Ability to adhere to all company policies and safety regulations including attendance requirements
• Ability to work with limited supervision to assemble units of moderate complexity in a team environment
• Ability to pass a soldering test
