Express Employment Professionals Garland has partnered with a local company to search for Extrusion Operators to join their team. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Machine Setup: Prepare and set up extrusion machines for production runs, including adjusting settings and selecting appropriate tools and materials based on specifications.

• Operation: Monitor the extrusion process, ensuring machines operate efficiently and safely while producing products that meet quality standards.

• Material Handling: Load raw materials into extrusion machines and monitor material usage throughout the production cycle.

• Quality Control: Inspect finished products and in-process materials for defects or irregularities; conduct tests and measurements as required to ensure compliance with specifications.

• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on extrusion machines, troubleshoot equipment issues, and make minor repairs as necessary.

• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, including quantities produced, material usage, and any issues encountered during the process.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and participate in safety training as required.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree in manufacturing or a related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience operating extrusion machines, preferably in a plastic and metal fabrication environment.
• Strong understanding of extrusion processes, equipment, and techniques.
• Familiarity with quality control standards and ability to read technical drawings/specifications.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks in a production environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety.

Schedule: Monday-Friday/8 AM to 5 PM + any needed overtime 

Benefits can be:

• Medical benefits offered after 30 days, PTO, holiday pay
• Commission negotiable after hired on full time
