Salary: $75K - $90K DOE

A Vancouver, WA - based company in the banking industry is seeking an experienced Sr. Accountant to join their team ASAP! This is a contract opportunity lasting 3-6 months. 

 

Schedule: M-F, 8am - 5pm

Pay: $75,000 - $90,000 annually DOE

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Manage monthly close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Oversee the preparation of regulatory reports, including Call Reports and other compliance documents.
• Collaborate with internal teams to provide insights on financial performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors and ensuring timely completion of requests.
• Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for cost reduction.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior accounting staff as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of accounting experience in the banking industry.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with [specific software, if applicable] is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• CPA or CMA certification is preferred but not required.
