Our client in Akron, OH immediately seeks a Shipping and Packing Specialist for their shipping and receiving team to help expedite packages and freight. Packaging/crating of items that need to be shipped are some of the key responsibilities.

Position Details:

Pay is $16.00 to $21.00/hr DOE (Up to $840 paid weekly)
Hours: Monday thru Friday, Start at 6am, 7am, or 8am and end at 2:30pm/3:30pm/4:30p (Must work 40 hours/week)
Responsibilities may include:

• Package/crate company products per established standards.
• Unload and load various shipments via the use of forklift and/or overhead crane.
• Examines shipment contents and compares with records such as manifests or orders to verify accuracy.
• Perform other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed.

Desired Skills/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Entry level to three years in material handling role.
• Ability to work with hand tools for building and opening crates and packages.
• Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the day and able to lift 50lbs. On a needed basis and up to 125lbs. with assistance.
• Certified forklift experience is a PLUS
