Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking candidates for an experienced Full time Afternoon Fabrication Supervisor on behalf of our client in Guelph Ontario.
A local steel company specializing in design, fabrication and erection of structural steel company is currently recruiting for an Afternoon Fabrication Supervisor who will have core responsibilities in leading a team, managing production goals and assisting the team with the day-to-day operations. This position is a vital role within the company, working directly with team members to collectively create a safe work environment and foster a culture of empowerment.
Description: This position offers a variety of duties which include but are not limited to;
- Participates in all fabrication, welding & general labour duties
- Train, motivates and supervise a team of up to 10 metal fabricators
Pay: $28.00 – $29.00/ Hr.
Shift premium, Attendance Recognition program incentive, Group RRSP program, Medical and Dental benefit program
Experience and Knowledge Required:
- Previous experience in a supervisor, manager or team lead position
- Understand both imperial and metric system
- Able to read and interpret technical documents, drawings and blueprints
- Welding with 3 + year’s experience including 3mm flat/horizontal carbon steel FCAW/MCAW (Flux-core Arc Welding/Metal-Cored Arc welding)
Arc Welding) equipment
- Overhead cranes experience
