Now hiring for a Roller I position in Abilene TX. This position is A weekend position -Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with the hours of 6am to 6pm 

The Roller I is responsible for operating roll machine, using roller work instructions and knowledge of steel properties to roll cans.

Essential job functions are as follows>

•      Check plate edge prepping

•      Use blue prints to proactively identify parameters to form job

•      Adjust equipment settings according to different materials and how they take pressures

•      Use one of the roll machines to roll tower cans, understanding the pinch pressure process

•      Check the radius of can using sweeps

•      Weld 2G GMAW to quality specification (root pass)

•      Clean root pass after welding

•      Use crane to remove can from roller

•      Inspect rigging equipment daily

•      Safely and efficiently operate overhead crane

•      Complete CRLW log

•      Record job and section worked in time matrix

•      Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications - 

•      High school diploma or GED required. 2 years of welding experience or, completion of an accredited two year welder’s training program or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•      Knowledge of materials, production processes, quality, raw materials and other techniques, methods and tools involved in the process of fabricating steel support structures.

•      Any equivalent combination of experience, training and/or education approved by Human Resources.
