Great Medical Fertility Clinic in San Francisco needs a Bilingual, English/Spanish Front Office Coordinator.

They need someone that is 100% reliable and 100% bilingual English/Spanish written and spoken.

This is a professional setting and temp to hire.

DAYS: Saturday required hours once trained. Must be available every other Saturday in our SF office and will comp out ½ a day during the week to accommodate for that.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide front desk reception and financial counseling to patients on various procedures to be rendered.
  • Responsible for onsite collection from patients at the check-in counters on all procedures inclusive of the IUI, IVF and FET procedures to all parties.
  • Review insurance information and conduct verification of insurance benefits for all services to be rendered.
  • Meet with patients to provide price and or discuss insurance benefits.
  • Collect deposit payments from the responsible parties before any (IVF, FET or screenings) procedural services to be rendered to the third parties. i.e. donors or surrogacy patients.
  • Maintain accurate payment information in patient record. Communicate with the Nurse Coordinator/Finance Team regarding status of patient treatment options.
  • Check schedule for cycle starts in order to be available to collect the deposit.
  • Check patients in and out of their appointments.
  • Schedule patients for appointments.
  • Provide backup phone support for call center.
  • Provide back up support to other billing team members and front desk personnel as needed.
  • Strong follow-up and organization skills.
  • Other duties as needed.

Abilities and Knowledge:

  • 1-2 years of medical office experience
  • Insurance plans (HMOs, PPOs, etc)
  • Payment posting and Collections
  • Verification of benefits, processing authorizations
  • Patient financial education
  • Significant telephone contact
  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing and promote teamwork.
  • Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred.
  • Good with numbers
  • Strong people skills.
  • Experience with on-site collection from patients preferred

Work Expectations: Prior Medical Office experience. Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to interface with the team, manager, nurses, physicians and patients.

Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate. 1-2 years of billing and collections preferred.
  • Medical office experience, 1-2 years.
