Apprentice CNC Machinist – Baton Rouge

EVALUATION HIRE

$16+/ Hr.

Monday - Thursday 6:30 am - 5 pm 

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently seeking a reliable and hard-working APPRENTICE CNC MACHINIST looking to start a career in the industry. The fabrication shop that this position is located in is located in East Baton Rouge. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Apprentice CNC Machinist: 

• Safely learn to set up, program, adjust, and operate CNC lathes and mills.
• Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines, including lathes and mills.
• Learn to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and drawings.
• Observe and follow safety protocols while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
• Conduct quality inspections on finished products using measuring tools.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve machining issues.
• Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance machining skills.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Cleaning up around the shop, and other duties given by supervisors. 

 Skills and Experience REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong interest in machining and manufacturing processes.
• Basic understanding of math and geometry.
• Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality
