Fabrication Shop Helper (Grinder)

 

Assists with various tasks in a metal fabrication or manufacturing shop, focusing on grinding and finishing metal parts. 

 

Job Responsibilities:
- Grinding: Operate hand grinders, and other tools to remove excess material, and sharp edges from metal parts.
- Material Handling: Assist in loading and unloading metal materials or finished products.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain a clean work environment.

 

Skills & Requirements:
- Experience with Tools: Basic understanding of grinders, sanders, and other metalworking tools.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Attention to Detail: Precision in grinding to ensure parts meet quality standards.
- Workplace Safety: Familiarity with shop safety protocols and the use of PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.).

 

Hours are Monday - Friday, from 7:00am - 4:30pm with possibility of OT on Saturdays
