Material Handler (Commerce, CA)

7:00am - 3:30pm or 3:00pm-11:30pm

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour, DOE

A custom cosmetics company specializing in personalized beauty solutions is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our fast-growing startup and energetic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels of components and raw materials in all production labs, ensuring a clean and organized work environment to prevent contamination and product mixes. Material Handler Responsibilities:

• Process all inbound deliveries, verifying quantities against the Bill of Lading (BOL) and inspecting stock for damages, accepting or rejecting shipments as necessary.
• Inspect all stock for damages and keep accurate records.
• Process outbound orders for returns, transfers to 3PLs, and requests from R&D, Marketing, and Quality Departments.
• Record arrival and departure times for shipments.
• Operate PITO equipment, including pallet jacks, electric stackers, and chemical drum pickers.
• Follow waste management procedures outlined in the waste management SOP.
• Perform system transactions for inventory accuracy using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including receiving goods, stock counts, and tracking inventory.
• Ensure inventory levels in production labs meet predetermined standards.
• Move inventory throughout the production facility and record all movements.
• Process, label, and store incoming mail and stock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Material Handler Requirements:

• Experience or interest in picking/packing, shipping/receiving, or inventory management.
• Ability to multitask while ensuring accuracy across all items.
• Demonstrate initiative, perseverance, and efficiency daily.
• Enjoy working in small, close-knit teams in a fast-paced environment, making a direct impact on results.
• Familiarity with WMS tools.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to handle various tasks throughout the day.
