Express is now hiring for a Digital Communications Coordinator at an organization based out of Olympia, WA. This is a Direct Hire opportunity. The schedule will be flexible and hybrid- full time, to be determined. The salary range for this position will be $64,720-$102,258 DOE. Job Duties: The purpose of this position is to oversee the development and production of digital communications and
ensure the organization's digital communications are aligned with the their mission, vision, values statement and strategic plan. The incumbent will execute strategic digital communications work plans from start to finish and coordinate with communications team members and other colleagues to ensure that deliverables are completed within deadlines.

• Manage all social media platforms from ideation to content creation to implementation, management, and reporting, including paid social media, where appropriate
• Create, edit, and maintain digital communications, including photos, videos, social media posts, web pages, newsletters, and other communications and marketing assets
• Work with colleagues to ensure that deliverables are completed within deadlines
• Manage multiple, overlapping, dynamic timelines to ensure that digital communication materials are created, edited, and delivered at a high level of quality and within deadlines
• Coordinate with internal and external subject matter experts to tell compelling and accurate city stories
• Identify trends and new technology taking place in mobile, viral marketing, blog, and social networking spheres
• Monitor online conversations to determine reach and impact with online consumers
• Update websites and create and update printed, and digital materials/newsletters as assigned
• Serve as the organization's official photographer and videographer at conferences and events across the state
• Edit photos, videos, graphics, and audio in keeping with organizational brand standards
• Research and make recommendations for adoption of new digital communication technologies
• Record and produce podcasts
• Work collaboratively with the other teams and departments to develop enhancements to online and hybrid educational events
• Work with the organization's online event platform, developing a web presence for online events and conferences
• Review usage data on the organization's communications, including podcast, newsletters, and social media, and make recommendations for increased engagement and implement workplans as approved
• Complete other duties as assigned or self-initiated with supervisor approval

 

Job Requirements:

• Four years of work experience in communications, public relations, or closely related field
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing or related field preferred. Experience may be substituted year-for-year for academic achievement
• Must maintain a Washington State driver’s license in good standing

 

• Proficiency with digital communication tools, including Adobe Creative Suite products and social media platforms
• Strong familiarity with social media trends and applications
• Ability to operate DSLR camera equipment to capture professional-quality photos and videos
• Knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3
• Ability to research, discover, and become familiar with new and emerging digital communication technology
• Ability to handle multiple time-sensitive projects, delivering high-quality materials within deadline
• Ability to work cooperatively with a diverse audience
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 office products and ability to learn and use a wide variety of proprietary software
• Strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information in a form which is comprehensible to a diverse audience
• Excellent skills in data entry, proof reading, spelling, and grammar
• Possess good time management skills and have the ability to be self-driven by meeting deadlines
• Ability to work professionally as part of a team
• Ability to model the organization’s high standards of quality customer service to all internal and external customers; represent the organization in a positive professional manner, while using tact, discretion, and courtesy
