Position Overview: We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Utility Support Specialist to join our production team. The Utility Support Specialist will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and uninterrupted flow of raw materials to support our manufacturing processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and contribute to the success of our operations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials according to specifications and quality standards.
  • Safely handle and transport raw materials within the production facility using appropriate equipment and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and organization of raw materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to reorder materials as needed to prevent production delays.
  • Collaborate with production supervisors to prioritize material delivery schedules and ensure timely availability.
  • Assist in the setup and preparation of raw materials for production runs, including weighing, measuring, and mixing as necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the implementation of efficiency initiatives.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and report any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in a relevant field preferred.
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with familiarity with raw materials handling and inventory management.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as measuring, weighing, and inspecting materials.
  • Ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
