Do you have a variety of General Construction skills and experience in both Residential and Commercial building? We are looking for someone who wants consistent work doing residential new builds and remodels along with some commercial remodeling. This position has a strong possibility of becoming a lead/foreman.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Remolding, drywall, painting, and carpentry work in residential and commercial buildings
• Preparing materials, tools, and equipment at the construction site
• Consult with company owner for knowledge of construction plans
• Lead team to complete construction projects
• Make decisions based on the needs of the customer.
• Follow instructions and use tools and equipment safely to complete daily tasks
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations when operating equipment
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Provide assistance to contractors (i.e., craft workers, electricians, painters) as needed
• Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
• Travel locally between job sites as needed in Berrien, Van Buren and Cass Counties.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent
• Vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
• 3 to 10 years experience in residential and commercial construction: Framing, Finish Carpentry, Drywall, Paint, Tile
• Project Management a plus
• Experience in remolding, drywall, painting, and carpentry required
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent communication skills
• Driver’s license and vehicle required
