We are currently in search of a structural steel estimator to supplement a clients structural department.  This would be an intermediate level position with previous experience being required.  The qualifications would be as follows:

 

• Understanding of structural design drawings (familiarity with commercial design drawings are a plus)
• Knowledge of estimating manhours to complete all aspects of fabrication (cutting, fitting, welding, etc.)
• Skilled in basic computer programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)
• Proficient in math and performing quick calculations
• Good communication skills with the ability to communicate with clients and subcontractors about project needs
• Ability to multitask to handle multiple estimates with varying due dates

 

Pay scale would be up to $25 - $35/hr DOE
