EHS Specialist

This is a DIRECT HIRE EHS Specialist opportunity for Columbus company!

• The EHS Specialist will help maintain safety regulations, EHS procedures, ISO certifications, as well as create new policies
• Conduct risk assessments and implements strategies to prevent accidents and injuries, developing policies and procedures, and provide training to employees
• Maintain records of training, qualifications, certifications, etc., as they apply to the safety program
• Design and implement training as required throughout the company
• Monitor operations for compliance with applicable laws and regulations
• Complete necessary audits and maintain/ analyze safety records and data to identify trends and areas for improvement

Pay/Benefits:

• $70,000-$90,000 based upon experience

Requirements:

• Candidate must have 2-3 years of experience in an EHS role in general industry
• Experience in the warehouse/ logistics industry is preferred
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and ISO standards
• Previous experience in site safety audits
• Have a full understanding of legal health and safety requirements
