Automotive Cashier – Baton Rouge

EVALUATION HIRE

The schedule is Adjustable and some Saturdays will be required. 

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for an Automotive cashier for a locally owned and operated car dealership in East Baton Rouge.  This client is looking for someone with a great customer service attitude and people skills. 

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Automotive Cashier: 

• Greet customers warmly and assist them throughout their transaction process.
• Process payments for vehicle purchases, service, and parts, ensuring accuracy in cash handling and credit transactions.
• Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and exchanges according to dealership policies.
• Assist customers with inquiries regarding payments, financing options, and dealership services.
• Collaborate with service and sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized cashier area.
• Perform administrative tasks such as filing and data entry as required.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficient with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive attitude and a commitment to customer satisfaction.
