Temporary / Contract

$15/hr

Monday-Thursday 7 am - 3:30 pm; Friday 7 am - 3 pm

 

 

Express Employment Professionals, a full-service staffing agency, is currently hiring for a Shipping and Receiving Assistant for a local plastics manufacturer in East Baton Rouge Parish.

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES for Shipping and Receiving Assistant:  

• Assisting the shipping and receiving clerk in loading/unloading trucks
• picking and packing orders.
• Repairing Pallets as needed.
• Assisting with other tasks in the shipping and receiving department. 
• Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe from hazards/debris
• Other tasks are assigned as needed.
• Safe operation of forklifts in the warehouse. 
• Processing shipping and receiving paperwork. 
• Weighing pallets of materials. 
• Fulfilling orders onto pallets according to the packing slips. 

Skills and Experience REQUIRED:

• Fast-paced and attention to detail
• Must be able to lift 50lbs regularly
• Previous experience with shipping and receiving, including the paperwork processing and tracking REQUIRED. 
• Forklift experience is REQUIRED. 
• Attention to detail is a MUST.
