We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Insert Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for using an insert press machine to install hardware on sheet metal parts. This role requires precision, adherence to work instructions, and the ability to perform simple quality checks.

Responsibilities:

  1. Machine Operation:
    • Operate insert press machine to install hardware on sheet metal parts according to established work instructions.
    • Set up and configure the machine to meet specific production requirements.
  2. Setup and Calibration:
    • Follow work instructions to set up the insert press machine accurately.
    • Calibrate machine settings to ensure the proper installation of hardware.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    • Perform simple quality checks using square, go/no-go tools, and checklists to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the installed hardware.
    • Identify and address any deviations from quality standards.
  4. Physical Requirements:
    • Lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
    • Maintain mobility throughout the work shift, including standing, walking, reaching, and bending.
  5. Safety Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
    • Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
  6. Machine Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance on the insert press machine to ensure its proper functioning.
    • Report any machine malfunctions or the need for repairs.
  7. Team Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with team members and communicate effectively to ensure efficient production processes.
    • Assist in training new operators as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Insert Press Operator or in a similar manufacturing role.
  • Familiarity with insert press machines and their operation.
  • Ability to interpret and follow work instructions and blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of quality control procedures and tools.
  • Physical fitness and ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in work.

Education and Training:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
