A metal protective packaging manufacturer in Bridgeview is seeking a Line Helper for their team.

 

DUTIES:

• Assists in the removal of coils from a rewinder reel using coil carriers, transports coils from the rewinders to a conveyor system.
• Visually inspects coils for obvious defects or markings, not consistent with our quality objectives.
• Transfer spools containing slit steel strapping to welding position.
• Spot weld individual straps at appropriate time interval.
• Assist in correcting production delays and product size changeovers.
• Moving about 1400 coils per day

REQUIREMENTS:

• prior manufacturing experience preferred
• Ability to repetitively lift up to 50 lbs
• Able to work in a loud environment
