What You Get to Do!   

The Mechanical Engineer is a full-time position that works closely with the engineering team, executive team, and manufacturing team. This position is responsible for improving manufacturing procedures, updating drawing packages, writing and enhancing work instructions and test procedures, product design and support, quality engineering existing products, tooling design, fixture design and product testing. Additional responsibilities include project management, accomplishing production technician level work, quality control inspections, precision assembly, and mechanical repair of products and equipment. This is a “hands-on” design engineering position.

 

What You Will Bring…

  • Minimum Education: BS in Engineering from accredited university, and/or equivalent apprenticeship
  • Minimum two years of experience working within a manufacturing and/or precision assembly environment
  • Software Knowledge: Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD Mechanical Desktop, AutoDesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to help other team members to complete projects on time
  • Must possess critical thinking skills, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Must possess technical writing skills and experience writing technical documents (i.e. Test Procedures, Test Reports, Failure Analysis, etc.)
  • Must be effective with hands-on manufacturing and precision assembly using a wide variety of tools and machinery
  • Must be available to travel when needed to meet job and customer requirements
  • Must possess a high level of interest, enthusiasm, and energy for manufacturing and engineering work
  • Take pride in the quality of your work assignments and maintain a positive attitude towards the company and all its customers.
  • Perform assigned duties in a self-motivated, self-starter, organized, time structured manner.
  • Always maintain the highest ethical standards.
  • Report all conditions affecting customer satisfaction, safety, and the overall performance of the Company.
  • Learn and understand the principles of lean manufacturing and 6s always working to the standard of “Relentless Elimination of Waste”.
  • Continually pursue lean manufacturing principles through education and continual implementation.
  • Become and remain expert in knowledge with the company’s quality management system and continually put into effect the quality management system throughout operations.
  • Become and remain an expert in knowledge of the company personnel policy and expected standards of employee conduct.
