A Detroit Lakes based company is seeking a Controller to join their team. The Plant Controller is responsible for managing all accounting and financial reporting activities of the plant. The role includes overseeing the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, managing the budgeting process, and overseeing the warehouse manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure timely and accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare financial reports for management and corporate headquarters.
• Lead the annual budgeting process for the plant.
• Manage and oversee the cost accounting function, ensuring accurate product costing.
• Work with production and operations teams to control and reduce costs.
• Supervise and develop the warehouse manager and safety department.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a manufacturing environment.
