Express Employment Professionals are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grader to join our team in BEAR LAKE, UT/ID. As a Skilled Grader, you will be responsible for operating grading equipment to prepare surfaces for construction projects, including roads, highways, and building foundations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in using heavy machinery, an eye for precision, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities for the Grader:

• Operate grading equipment such as motor graders, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery to level and prepare land for construction.
• Ensure accurate grading of surfaces in line with project specifications, including slopes, grades, and elevations.
• Collaborate with the project manager and site engineers to interpret blueprints, survey markers, and project plans.
• Conduct pre-operation checks on machinery and perform routine maintenance to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Adhere to all company and OSHA safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safe work practices.
• Monitor and adjust grading operations to meet quality control standards, ensuring the work aligns with the project's design and requirements.
• Assist in coordinating with other site personnel, including laborers, operators, and contractors, to ensure efficient project progress.
• Report any issues with equipment, materials, or site conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Maintain detailed records of daily grading activities, equipment use, and site conditions.

Qualifications for the Grader:

• Able to pass a drug test and background check
• Proven experience as a grader operator in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in operating heavy grading equipment such as motor graders and bulldozers.
• Strong understanding of grading techniques, earthwork, and elevation requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, plans, and survey markings.
• Familiarity with GPS and laser-guided grading systems is a plus.
• Solid knowledge of construction safety protocols and regulations (OSHA standards).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precision work.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with colleagues.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Must be able to lift heavy equipment or materials as required.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding role with long hours, if needed.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification or training in heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required

Compensation and schedule:

• $24-$26/hour Depending on experience. Benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
• Monday- Friday, 7:00 am- 4:00 pm
