Salary: $40 and up per hour

One of our premier clients in Fall River has an IMMEDIATE need for a Lead Diesel Mechanic to diagnose, service and repair equipment.

Hours: Full Time, Monday – Friday / 7am – 3:30pm

Pay Rate: $40 and up per hour

Lead Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities:

· Perform scheduled maintenance on fleet vehicles and heavy equipment

· Diagnose equipment, order parts, follow up on incomplete jobs, update history folders and submit invoices with proper purchase order numbers

· Observe trucks and equipment in operation, listen to sounds to locate cause of trouble

· Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hand and power tools

· Inspect used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements using calipers, micrometers and other measuring devices

· Weld and repair structural parts of trailers

· Complete required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times

· Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards

Lead Diesel Mechanic Requirements:

· High School Diploma or Equivalent

· Minimum 7 years of proven medium to heavy-duty vehicle repair including PM’s, tire & wheel, air & air disc breaks, computerized diagnostics, electronic component repair & overhauls and rebuilds of heavy duty diesel engines & transmissions
