Express Employment Professionals of Downey is currently seeking a SURFACE GRINDER MACHINE OPERATOR for a well-established steel product manufacturer in Los Angeles, CA.

SCHEDULE: Monday through Friday, 8AM - 4:30PM

PAY: $22.00 an hour

EMPLOYMENT TYPE: long-term (temp to permanent hire)

Qualifications:

• 1 year surface grinder machine experience
• Able to read and understand drawings or prints
• Knows how to use calipers, micrometers and gauges
• Must be able to withstand physically demanding tasks (consistently heavy lifting - up to 50 pounds)
• Work well under pressure
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities:

• Operate surface grinder machine (manipulating movement of blade and cutting steel material)
• Hand assembly of finished machined parts
• Load and unload material from the machine
• Assist other machine operators when necessary
• Maintain general cleanliness of surrounding work area
• Other tasks as needed
