Job Title: Maintenance/Utility Associate

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:15am - 4:45pm

Description/Requirements:

Responsible for daily activities in support of the Maintenance Department including but not limited to, removal of trash and recyclables from all buildings, basic repair and maintenance of facilities.

 

Works indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.  Regular exposure to noise, heat, dust, dirt, gases, grease, cleaning agents, low and high voltage.  Danger from cuts, scrapes, bruises, falls, burns.  Occasionally works in confined spaces. Primarily elderly residents may have loss of hearing, sight, memory, or mobility, thus extra patience may be required. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Empties trash, garbage and recycled materials from the Clubhouse and all residential buildings daily.

• Cleans garbage containers.

• Maintain proper level of cleanliness and orderliness.

• Adheres strictly to safety rules, regulations and safe work practices. Ensures
• Washes Smith Ranch Homes vehicles and carts.
• Cleans Building 115 maintenance offices.

• Supports Maintenance staff when needed.

• Cleans and checks battery levels each week on all carts as required by the preventative maintenance system.
• Sweeps exterior common areas and removes spider webs on a regular basis.
• Power washes paths and building entrances.
• Assist with or perform basic repair, maintenance, and tasks as needed. Work may include painting, digging, fence repair, landscaping, drywall repair, cart maintenance, floor repair, and basic electrical or plumbing repair.
• Delivers packages over 25 lbs.
• Follows the company work order system for preventative maintenance.
• Provides a written daily log of work performed.
• Keeps maintenance truck interior clean at all times.
