A leading regional provider of broadband, fixed wireless, and fiber connectivity, committed to delivering cutting-edge services to their customers is seeking a Part-Time Engineering Administrative Assistant. Their engineering team is at the heart of this mission, and we're looking for an administrative professional to join their team and provide key support.

Role Summary:

The Part-Time Engineering Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth operation of our engineering department. You will manage daily administrative tasks, streamline communication between departments, and assist in the coordination of engineering projects.

Schedule:

This is a part-time position with a maximum of 20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible and can be set within regular business hours (Monday through Friday).

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage scheduling, organize meetings, and handle daily office tasks for the engineering team.
  • Maintain and update engineering documentation and ensure that records are well-organized and easily accessible.
  • Enter and manage data within spreadsheets, project management tools, and databases to support ongoing projects.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the engineering department, coordinating communication between other departments, clients, and vendors.
  • Assist in tracking project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to ensure that all engineering projects stay on course.
  • Help manage procurement processes, including tracking orders, managing inventory, and coordinating with vendors.
  • Assist in the creation and editing of reports, technical documents, and presentations for internal and external use.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, record minutes, and distribute meeting notes as needed.
  • Perform other administrative duties or special projects as requested by the Engineering Manager.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. An associate’s degree or higher in a related field is a plus.

Experience: Previous experience in an administrative support role is required, with preference given to candidates with experience in engineering or technical fields.

Skills:

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and engineering terminology is advantageous.
