Location: East Metro (Engineering Firm) - Employee owned
Schedule: 10:30 AM - 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday
Pay Rate: $25-$27 per hour (Evaluation to Hire)

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented AP/AR Specialist for an engineering firm in the East Metro area. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, organization, and a proactive approach to managing the accounts payable and receivable processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in both AP and AR functions and be comfortable handling a variety of financial and administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Payments: Ensure timely and accurate processing of vendor payments, including weekly check runs and ACH payments.
• Job Cost Entry: Perform job cost entries to ensure accurate project accounting and budget tracking.
• Use Tax Documentation: Record and document use tax as necessary.
• W-9 Forms: Collect, verify, and maintain W-9 forms from vendors.
• Collections: Assist with collection efforts on overdue accounts.
• Lien Waivers: Prepare and process lien waivers as needed.
• Invoicing: Prepare and issue monthly invoices to clients.
• Excel Reporting: Maintain and update Excel schedules to track accounts payable/receivable, project costs, and other financial data.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in an AP/AR role, preferably in a professional services or engineering firm.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, job costing, and use tax documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial tracking and reporting.
• Familiarity with collection processes and lien waivers.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
