We are looking for an experienced MIG Welder to perform manual weld repairs on components after robotic welding processes. In this role, you will focus on identifying defects in robotic welds and performing precise MIG weld repairs to ensure all products meet quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in MIG welding, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform MIG weld repairs on metal components after robotic welding, addressing defects such as cracks, incomplete welds, or other imperfections.
  • Inspect robotic welds to identify areas requiring manual repairs and ensure welds meet all quality and safety standards.
  • Use hand tools, grinders, and cutting equipment to prepare surfaces for repair, ensuring a clean and precise weld.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to perform accurate weld repairs according to specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE) appropriately.
  • Work closely with quality control and production teams to meet project deadlines and ensure repaired parts are ready for further processing or shipment.
  • Document all repairs, tracking weld quality and maintaining accurate records for production and quality audits.
  • Assist in maintaining welding equipment, performing minor repairs and adjustments as needed to keep equipment in optimal working condition.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a MIG Welder, with a strong focus on weld repairs.
  • Proficiency in identifying and repairing weld defects such as porosity, cracks, and incomplete welds.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to handle heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
  • Knowledge of welding safety standards and best practices, with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Welding certification (preferred but not required).
