We are seeking a dependable and experienced Class A CDL Driver for the harvest season. As a Harvest CDL Driver, you will be transporting crops and agricultural materials between fields, storage facilities, and processing plants. The ideal candidate has experience in agricultural transport, is safety-conscious, and understands the unique demands of the harvest period.

Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate tractor-trailers, grain haulers, and other large commercial vehicles to transport crops from fields to storage or processing locations.
  • Load and unload agricultural products using specialized equipment, ensuring safe and secure transport to prevent loss or damage.
  • Plan and execute delivery routes based on field conditions and farm schedules, optimizing efficiency and adapting to changing needs during the harvest.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, addressing any mechanical issues immediately to minimize downtime during peak season.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company guidelines specific to agricultural transport.
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, delivery receipts, and mileage, including monitoring hours of service to remain compliant with regulations.
  • Communicate with farm managers, dispatchers, and team members to ensure timely and efficient pickups and deliveries.
  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with farmers, clients, and team members, ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
  • 6 months of experience as a CDL Driver, preferably with experience in agricultural or seasonal transport.
  • Strong understanding of safe driving practices, DOT regulations, and the unique challenges of rural road conditions during harvest.
  • Ability to operate large vehicles in various farm settings, including tight or off-road areas, and to load/unload in field conditions.
  • Physical stamina for long hours and heavy lifting, as harvest schedules often require extended shifts and flexibility.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate efficiently with farmers, managers, and other team members.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak harvest times.
  • Familiarity with GPS systems, rural navigation, and electronic logging devices (ELDs) is preferred.
