We are currently seeking candidates for a Production Supervisor role with a manufacturing client located in the West Madison area.

 

This is a 1st shift role, and will involve leadership responsibilities within a small but growing manufacturing business.

 

 

Job Summary:  Coordinate and oversee the activities of all shift production employees and operations in an efficient manner to achieve the desired quality and quantity of work. Lead and direct the production department in continuous improvement and overall company vision.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Use work orders and blueprints to establish equipment setup, requirements, and routine while overseeing the daily workflow of the department.
• Direct Production Leads to maintaining the desired efficiency and quantity of production and initiatives/goals align with the overall company direction.
• Mentor and coach the Production Leads to enhance professional development.
• Communicate with General Manager and HR Manager for staffing needs.
• Assist the Production Coordinator in scheduling and coordinating jobs for efficient production.
• Meet daily with Leads and Production Coordinator to plan and address any production and personnel concerns.
• Troubleshoots and informs management and other relevant employees of any production delays.
• Monitor plant personnel to assure compliance with company policies, rules, regulations, and procedures, and takes corrective action when required.
• Coordinate and head monthly Supervisor Meetings.
• Handles discipline of employees in accordance with company policy.

 

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years’ manufacturing experience
• Ability to make production decisions and bring innovative ideas for continual process improvement
• Exceptional ability to direct and lead the team to complete work with exceptional quality and efficiency
• Excellent work initiative and ability to handle multiple tasks
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, differentiate parts and identify masked areas
• Ability to communicate effectively with and direct other employees
• Proven leadership experience
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize by managing multiple tasks
• Accuracy with attention to detail
• Ability to speak and understand the English language
• Ability to work flexible hours or overtime as needed

 

Schedule: Full - time, day shift role.  4 – 10 hour days, M-Th (starting 5 AM or 6AM)

 

Pay: $65 - $70k, based on experience
