DRAFTER NEEDED!

 

We are in need of a Drafter to join one of our clients engineering team… Someone who can draw and detail custom equipment, and organize projects. Most of the drawings are in SolidWorks, while a minority are in AutoCAD/Draftsight.

 

Summary of Primary Function:
A drafter will work with the engineering team, project managers, customers, or manufacturing, to design, document, detail and record projects. Projects mostly include creating part and assembly drawings and BOM’s for holding/process tanks, pump/instrumentation skids, piping assemblies, and fabricated and machined parts.

Requirements
• 5 years of experience in the field or BS with some industry exposure
• SolidWorks and/or CAD experience (we are open to training an individual with industry or educational background)
• PDM experience is a plus
• Ability to interpret P&IDs and schematics is a plus
• Enthusiastic team member
• Honest and scientific
• Technically astute, mechanically inclined, and attention to detail
• Organized and efficiently reacting to changes and questions
• General understanding of plastic materials for industrial applications
• Self-motivated, quick, must get the job done
• Proactive verbal and written communication skills
• Microsoft Office fluent, strong with Excel
• Stable

Responsibilities
• Create part drawings, assemblies, layouts, and BOM’s for custom equipment
• File and drawing management and organization
• Keep projects moving forward
• Some travel to see customers/projects (infrequent)
