Express Employment Professionals in Rocklin has an immediate welding/plasma operator opportunity for a local manufacturing company.
Position: Shop Welder/Plasma Operator
Shift: Monday -Thursday
Hours: 5am-3:00pm
Location: Roseville
Pay rate: $20-$24.00+ Based on experience

Responsibilities:
Operating the machine: Setting up and operating the CNC plasma table, and loading and unloading the material
Programming: Uploading programs to the machine, and programming the machine to burn per drawing or traveler
Quality checks: Performing quality checks during production, and following procedures for defective products
Maintenance: Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of the machine, and requesting maintenance when needed
Safety: Ensuring all equipment is set up and used safely, and that all safety devices are in use
Organization: Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Delivery: Ensuring timely delivery of the finished product
Packaging: Preparing the product for packaging, and identifying and moving it to the proper location
Blueprint reading: Reading and interpreting drawings, and understanding weld symbols
Material selection: Selecting the appropriate material and consumables for each part

 

Experience Required:

• 1-3 years of experience working plasma table and mig welding.
• good mathematical ability and the ability to read and interpret blueprints
• ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, protractors, and tape measures.
