Locally owned Car Rental Agency looking for a dependable

Rental Agent!

M-F: 7:45am-5pm

$16-18/hour DOE

 

As a Car Rental Agent, you will be the first point of contact for customers renting vehicles, ensuring a smooth and positive rental experience. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about customer service and have a keen interest in the automotive industry.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service:

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their rental needs.
  • Answer customer inquiries regarding vehicle availability, rental rates, and terms.
  • Provide information on vehicle features, fuel policies, and insurance options.

• Rental Processing:

  • Assist customers in completing rental agreements and ensure all required documentation is accurate.
  • Verify customer information, including driver''s license and payment methods.
  • Upsell additional services and products, such as GPS units, car seats, and insurance coverage.

• Vehicle Management:

  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, fuel levels, and overall condition before and after rentals.
  • Report any vehicle damage or maintenance needs to the appropriate department.
  • Ensure vehicles are prepared and ready for customer pick-up.

• Administrative Duties:

  • Process payments and manage financial transactions, including cash, credit cards, and vouchers.
  • Maintain accurate records of rental agreements and customer interactions.
  • Assist in managing the vehicle inventory and updating the system as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills, including familiarity with MS Office and rental management software.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in customer service or sales is a plus.
• Knowledge of vehicles and the rental industry is beneficial but not required.
