Hours:  8pm-5am OR 5pm-8am

Pay Rate:  $18-20/hour

Job Description :

Overseeing the entire process of a shipment, from booking to delivery. This includes communicating with carriers and ensuring they can meet all requirements.

Additional Duties of a Logistics Clerk:

• Handling documentation: Receiving and processing documents, and ensuring accuracy.
• Customer service: Addressing customer questions and concerns, and resolving complaints.
• Tracking: Tracking orders and shipments, and assisting with tracing.
• Negotiating: Negotiating with shipping lines to secure competitive rates and ensure timely delivery.
• Compliance: Ensuring compliance with all relevant customs regulations and procedures.
• Maintaining relationships: Maintaining strong networks of contacts within the industry, and developing relationships with clients and vendors.
• Staying up to date: Staying updated with industry trends, regulations, and market conditions.

Requirements for a Logistics Clerk:

• Comfortable working alone or in a team
• Understanding of TSA regulations
• IATA and/or IMDG certified a plus
• Must be extremely detailed oriented and organized
• Must be a team player and able to work independently
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service communication skills
• Must work well under pressure and able to meet deadlines
• Ability to work in a busy and fast paced environment
