Lead Cook – $14-$16 per hour

 

Express Employment Professionals of Lakeland, FL is a professional staffing company dedicated to helping local businesses find great people. We are currently seeking a Lead Cook looking to join a growing team!

 

Responsibilities:

Some typical tasks performed may include a combination of the following:

 

• Ability to follow instructions.
• Perform repetitive work to stuff or load products, parts, or merchandise into

   

• Lead, mentor, and manage a culinary team. 

• Develop and plan menus, as well as prepare specialty items.

• Create a prep list for the kitchen crew.

• Oversee food preparation, plating, and service.

• Manage food costs and inventory levels.

• Maintain standards for food storage, quality, and appearance.

• Ensure compliance with all state and federally mandated health codes and regulations

• Receive incoming items and ship outgoing materials, products, or supplies.
• Count items received or shipped and check against packing lists. Record discrepancies.
• Prepare receiving and/or shipping reports and note shortages or damages.
• Use pick and pack lists to perform order fulfilment operations.

Qualifications: 

• Previous experience in a related field such as meal prepping, food license & previous cooking. 
• Minimum of 1-2 years in this field or previous occupations.
• Experience with meal prepping and managing people
• Physical health, agility, and stamina
• Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high-performance standards

Schedule

We have all different shifts. (8-10hrs) 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd shift options
