The Plastic Welder specializes in joining and repairing plastic components using heat and pressure working with hand-welding machinery.  Responsibilities encompass reading blueprints, selecting appropriate welding equipment, and ensuring high-quality, durable welds.

Responsibilities:                                                                                                                                                                             

• Perform Plastic welding according to established procedures and safety guidelines
• Operate and maintain welding equipment to ensure efficient and effective performance
• Inspect and examine welds to ensure that they meet quality standards and project specifications
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to determine welding requirements
• Collaborate with other team members to plan and coordinate welding projects
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment to ensure its longevity and optimal performance
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment

Qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in plastic welding techniques, equipment, and tools
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Physical dexterity and hand-eye coordination for precise and accurate welding
• Attention to detail and quality control to ensure finished products meet standards
• Flexibility to work in various environments and with different types of plastics
• Good communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other welders and supervisors
• Good math skills
• Experience using grinders, saws all, drills and Dremel tools
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Capable of standing for long periods of time
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
