Express Employment Professionals of Everett is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join our client’s quality team in Everett, WA. This is a fulltime, permanent role with a rotating schedule. Pay is $19 to $25 per hour, depending on previous QA experience. 

The aim of this role is to monitor production flow to ensure quality standards are met through various tests. Schedule is 5 days on, 5 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. Because the shift rotates candidates must be available to work any day of the week. The shifts are 12-hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Comply with safety requirements.
• Collect and prepare product samples for testing.
• Sort non-retained samples and take to grinder.
• Enter data in the computer.
• Maintain sample room storage.
• Perform quality checks on extrusion lines.
• Retrieve data for production documentation.
• Communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates.
• Retain samples of returned products for CCR meetings.
• Audit and update QA drawings and data point lists.
• Generate and update QC checklists.
• Maintain lists of parts and their respective customers.
• Organize and maintain QC samples, drawings, and cabinets.
• Assist in CCR investigations and product sorting.
• Perform other tasks as requested by Leads, Supervisors, or Managers.
• Analyze information to solve problems.
• Use training methods when necessary.

Functional Competencies:

• Understanding of QA processes and lab operations.
• Knowledge of calipers, tape measure, and square.
• Ability to judge tolerance and maintain product specifications.
• Mechanical skills for maintaining operations and detecting malfunctions.
• Good judgment in seeking help when needed.
• Basic data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently with a positive attitude.
• Effective written communication skills.
• Availability for all scheduled shifts, including overtime.

Physical and Mental Demands:

• Requires standing, walking, using hands, reaching, talking, and hearing.
• Occasionally involves sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, or balancing.
• Regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds, occasionally up to 25 pounds. Safe lifting techniques required for heavier items.
• Needs close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
