Sr. Electrical Hardware Development Engineer

Location: North Salt Lake area

Position Overview: Our government and privately contracted client is seeking a Sr. Electrical Hardware Development Engineer to design and develop high-performance hardware, focusing on FPGA-based digital circuitry. This role involves creating and analyzing schematics and circuits for circuit boards, running simulations, and leading design reviews.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop schematics and PCBs, oversee their development, and update designs for obsolescence.
• Create and review system and component-level designs; develop BOMs and select components.
• Design advanced circuitry for high-speed network systems (100/400 Gbps and beyond).
• Perform hardware/software integration, testing, and debugging using various test equipment.
• Lead and mentor engineers and technicians; manage project schedules and progress.
• Direct PCB layout development and assess signal integrity and power delivery.
• Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, software, and firmware teams.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of experience in digital electronics design.
• Expertise in FPGA-based digital hardware design, testing, and validation.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
